These Terms and Conditions govern the supply, installation, and commissioning of rooftop solar photovoltaic systems by Freyr Energy Services Pvt. Ltd. (“Freyr” or “Company”) for residential and Micro, Small & Medium Enterprise customers (“Client” or “Customer”).
By signing the Purchase Order, both parties agree to be bound by these terms. Please read carefully and contact us for any clarifications before signing.
Our Commitment: Freyr is committed to delivering high-quality solar solutions with professional service, transparency, and long-term support to ensure optimal system performance throughout its lifecycle.
Definitions
- DPR: Detailed Project Report containing system design, component specifications, and installation plan
- DISCOM: State electricity distribution company
- Net Metering: Bi-directional metering system allowing export of excess solar generation to the grid
- Commissioning: System activation and handover after successful installation and testing
- ALMM: Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (for subsidized projects)
- Business Days: Monday to Saturday, excluding public holidays
Cancellation and Refund Policy
Cancellation by Client
The token amount of ₹15,000 for residential clients, along with any transportation charges incurred (if applicable), shall be strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, whether prior to or after the supply of materials.
Automatic Refund Eligibility (100% Refund)
Full refund within 30 days in the following cases:
- DISCOM feasibility/approval denied (provided no fault of Client)
- Site found technically unsuitable by Freyr’s assessment (structural issues, shading, access)
- Loan rejected by approved lender (application submitted before order placement)
- Force majeure preventing project execution (beyond 90 days)
Cancellation by Freyr
Freyr may cancel the order in the following circumstances:
1. Non-payment: If Client fails to make payment beyond 60 days of due date
(i) Refund: Pro-rata basis minus costs incurred
2.Site access denial: If Client repeatedly denies site access without valid reason
(i) Refund: Minus costs incurred and Rs. 10,000 administrative charges
3.Force majeure: If project becomes impossible to execute
(i) Refund: Full refund minus actual verifiable costs incurred
4.Regulatory changes: If government policies make project unviable
(i) Refund: Full refund minus costs incurred
All Freyr-initiated cancellations (except non-payment) will result in refund within 15 days.
Refund Process
- Client must submit cancellation request in writing (email acceptable)
- Freyr will assess and communicate refund eligibility within 7 business days
- Refund will be processed to the original payment source/bank account
- Refund timeline as specified in respective clauses above
- Any deductions will be itemized and communicated to Client
